My work at CRG has spanned a number of different issue areas that fall within this topic area. I'll focus on forensics and genetic privacy/discrimination. Through this work, as well as our work on DTC regulation, biobanking and other areas there are many common themes.

They include the value of genetic information, what we can learn from DNA, how genetic information should be used, by whom, under what circumstances.  It includes issues of privacy, consent, transparency, access ,and property. They are issues that are becoming even more salient because we are now in the era of big data.
