This session discussed the state of play regarding human biotechnology policy and politics in seven countries and regions: Germany, Australia, China, the United Kingdom, Latin America, New Zealand, and the United States. Presenters reviewed major challenges and controversies in their countries and regions and describe how these are, or are not, being addressed. Special attention was paid to the sorts of international collaboration that might be encouraged at this time.
