Daniel Sharp is a staff associate at the Center for Genetics and Society.  Currently enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, Daniel will recieve his B.A. in philosophy and interdisciplinary studies in May 2012.  Though he is broadly interested in the intersections of science, society and power in the contemporary world, Daniel's current research focuses on the emergent field of "neuro self-help." He is particularly interested in how notions of health, happiness the good life are being transformed by an emergent naturalistic, brain-based view of the self. Daniel is also seriously interested in understanding the social risks of genetics and biotechnology. He is extremely excited to be a part of this year's Tarrytown Meeting.
