Gwen D'Arcangelis recieved her Ph.D. in Women's Studies and Science Studies from UCLA in 2009. She is a scholar of gender, culture and science, working to impact organizing efforts, policy and public debate in ways which center the needs and perspectives of women and communities of color. She is currently an Assistant Professor in Interdisciplinary General Education at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Her areas of specialization oare feminist science studies and postcolonial theory. In the past she has woked as a faculty member in the Gender and Women's Studies Department at Scripps College and in the Women's Studies Department at City College of San Francisco, and as a social science researcher at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
