What Role for Government Presentation

I will be talking about the different political philosophies that underlie differing perspectives on the regulation of reproductive and genetic technologies – from the libertarian, unregulated perspective to the more interventionist and regulatory perspective desired by some progressive social justice activists. I will also discuss the distrust of science by people of color both historically and currently, i.e., the Tuskegee Experiment. This presentation will be through the lens of Reproductive Justice, a human rights based approach to considering the impact of these technologies on humanity.
