The best ideas count for little if they are not communicated to significant audiences in a compelling manner. What do we need to know in order to communicate our concerns, perspectives and proposals regarding human biotechnologies and related emerging technologies in ways that resonate deeply with opinion leaders, policy makers, critical constituencies and mass audiences? In this plenary session, John Bianchi of Goodman Media International shared knowledge accumulated in the course of three decades as a noted progressive media professional working on controversial topics. The session included case studies of successful message formation and hands-on exercises by Tarrytown Meeting participants to craft messages relevant to selected issues of concern.    You can read the compilation of communications exercise responses here.
